Sights/Attractions

Discover the beautiful and intimate 18th-century landscape garden created by Bath entrepreneur Ralph Allen with advice from poet Alexander Pope, and Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown. You can walk across the famous Palladian Bridge – one of just four in the world – explore the woodland paths, discover what wildlife lives in the beautiful haven, or just relax and admire the sweeping valley with its magnificent views over Bath. It’s the ideal spot for a wonderful walk and a picnic. There is no general parking at the garden (disabled only), but the garden is a 30- minute walk from the tourist information centre with a steep hill, or easily accessible on the number 1 bus or City Sightseeing Skyline Tour.
